AFGHANISTAN, PANJSHIR VALLEY, DASHTAK VILLAGE - 22/05/2009. Shooting session of "Afghan Warrior" by "Part2 Pictures", produced by the National Geographic Television for the series "Power of a Photograph". The film traces Reza's encounters with Commander Massoud in Afghanistan. Opening day of the exhibition organized by Reza at the site of the tomb of Commander Massoud. Over fifty photographs taken by Reza, representing Massoud and his men during the wars against the Russians and the Taliban, as well as Afghanistan and its people, were exposed around the remains of Russian tanks and artillery pieces, seized by the mujahideen during their assaults. Visitors, posing in front of one of Reza's photograph representing the Commander Massoud with Hamid Karzai On the foreground we can see the mausoleum in construction of the Commander Massoud. The photograph belongs to the series "Once Upon a Time, the Russian Empire".<br />

Tournage du film "Afghan Warrior" produit par National Geographic Television et realise par "Part2 pictures" pour la serie « Power of a photograph ». L'equipe du tournage a suivi Reza sur les lieux de ses rencontres avec le Commandant Massoud. Jour de l'inauguration de l'exposition organisee par Reza sur le site du tombeau du commandant Massoud. Plus de cinquante photographies prises par Reza et representant Massoud et ses hommes lors des guerres contre les russes puis les talibans, ainsi que de l'Afghanistan et de son peuple, etaient exposees autour des vestiges de tanks et de pieces d'artillerie russes pris par les moudjahidin lors de leurs assauts. Des visiteurs posent devant l'une des photographies de Reza, representant Massoud en compagnie d'Hamid Karzai. On distingue a l'arriere plan le mausolee du Commandant Massoud en construction. La photographie appartient a la serie "Il etait une fois l'Empire russe".
