Pink tea flowers are on display at a stand in the Spice Bazaar.
The Spice Bazaar was built in 1664 as an extension of the Yeni Camii (New Mosque). The market is called the Egyptian Bazaar in Turkish because it was built with money paid as duty on Egyptian imports. The Bazaar is stocked with exotic spices, herbs, dried fruits, Turkish delight, cheeses, nuts and jams, but also features jewelry and more recently clothes, household goods, caviar, and more high-end items.
