La fresque representant l'allegeance a l'Emir Abd El Kader (1808 - 1883), devant l'arbre appele "Derdera".La ville de Mascara est marquee par la personnalite de l'Emir Abd El Kader. Homme politique, chef militaire, soufi, poete et  philosophe, il fut le premier a poser les premieres bases  d'un premier etat algerien a travers un traite de paix signe avec la France le 30 mai 1837, appele « La convention de la Tafna ».<br />

The mural represents the allegiance to Emir Abd El Kader (1808-1883),  in front of a tree called "Derdera." <br />
The Emir Abd El Kader personality left a mark on Mascara City. Politician, warlord, soufi, poet and philosopher, he was the first person to lay the foundation stone of a first Algerian state through a peace treaty with France, the 30th may 1837, called "Tafna's convention".
